Ribeye Steaks

Of the steaks I've tried, Ribeye's are presently my favorite. I was excited to try them, because I believe they are Mikhaila Peterson's favorite too, and she eats exclusively beef. When Kyle tried them, he said these are his all time favorite steaks. Here's how to make them:

Ingredients:
  • 1 Ribeye steak per person.
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying).
  • salt and pepper to taste.
Directions
  1. I like to fry these in a 6 quart cast iron enamel Dutch oven. Heat it with oil over medium high heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot enough, place the ribeye, which has been rinsed well under the tap, into the oil.
  3. Set a timer for 7 minutes. Flip the steak. Only cook 1 steak at a time.
  4. Set the timer again for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove steak with tongs and let it hang over the Dutch oven for a few seconds to let the oil drip off.
  6. Transfer steak to a plate and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  7. This steak doesn't actually need to rest. Cut it into bite-sized pieces, and serve.
