Ingredients:
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger.
- 1/4 tsp black pepper or 10 peppercorns.
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg.
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves or 1 whole clove.
- 1/8 tsp ground cardamom, or 3 whole cardamom pods (split).
- 2 tsp vanilla extract.
- 1/8 tsp salt (optional).
- 1/2 bar Baker’s White Chocolate.
- 1 cup filtered water.
- 3 cups Organic Valley Milk (any variety).
- 4 Tazo English Breakfast tea bags (tags removed).
Directions:
- Add water, spices, vanilla, salt and tea bags to a small pot on medium-high heat (6), and bring to a boil. About 5 minutes.
- Stir gently.
- Remove from heat.
- Remove tea bags to prevent bitterness and allow spices to steep for 10 minutes.
- Return to heat and add white chocolate in individual squares.
- Whisk well until it thoroughly melts into the tea.
- If using whole spices, strain them out at this point.
- Return tea to pot and add milk.
- Continue heating and whisking until hot, but not boiling. About 5 minutes.
- Pour into mugs and top with marshmallows, if desired.
