Jewellene's Avocado Toast

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices sour dough bread, like Panera (thin sliced)
  • 2 frozen Wholly Guacamole (2 oz each) mini cups
  • 4 round slices provalone cheese (unsmoked) like great value brand
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Garnish: 2 tbsp minced red onion and a drizzle of Frank's Red Hot Sriracha Sauce (watered down if necessary to come out of the bottle. Kyle, ignore this note, I already watered ours down).
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, but it's okay to throw your bread in if you get finished with it before the oven is completely preheated.
  2. Line a baking sheet with nonstick aluminum foil and set aside. If you already store yours in the oven with yesterdays foil on it, it's okay to leave that in the oven while you're preheating it.
  3. Get frozen mini cups of guac out of the freezer and place them in a medium deli container (or other bowl) and cover them with cold tap water. Set aside.
  4. While that's thawing, microwave butter for 20 seconds (in a bowl). Flip butter and nuke for 11 more seconds.
  5. Put your butter knife in it and make sure it's workable for easy spreading.
  6. Schmear it on one side of both pieces of bread.
  7. Put bread on foil (butter-side-up) in oven and set the cook timer for 10 minutes.
  8. While that's baking, mince the onion.
  9. Dump the guac water and refill it.
  10. Once the timer goes off, flip bread and add 2 slices of provalone to each piece of bread.
  11. Bake for 5 more minutes.
  12. Dump guac water and open the packages of guac. Stir it to make sure it's thawed. It's okay if it's still a little frozen when you put it on your hot bread later.
  13. Once bread is done, add guac (1 mini cups per slice of bread) on top of cheese and spread around.
  14. Drizzle guac with sriracha sauce, and top with minced red onion.
