Perfect Brined Baked Chicken



Brining chicken in salt water is all you need to make juicy, heat-tolerant chicken.

Ingredients for the brine:

  • 3-4 pounds frozen chicken breast
  • 2.5 - 4 quart storage container with lid
  • Enough water to submerge all of the chicken 
  • 1 tbsp salt
Ingredients for baking (per person)::
  • 1 chicken breast (from above)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter 
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Optional seasonings to taste: garlic powder, Italian seasoning, chili powder.
Directions for the brine:
  1. If using thawed chicken, skip to step 10.
  2. Empty bag of frozen chicken into bowl according to how many pounds of chicken you're using. 
  3. Cover with water.
  4. Set a timer for 1 hour.
  5. Drain water. 
  6. Flip chicken.
  7. Cover with water again.
  8. Set another timer for 1 hour.
  9. Drain water.
  10. Cover with water and salt. 
  11. Refrigerate for 8-24 hours.
Directions for on-demand chicken;
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Add butter to bowl and microwave for 45 seconds 
  3. Rinse chicken and place it on a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil.
  4. Pour butter over both sides of chicken and rub in.
  5. Add seasoning on both sides.
  6. Bake for 6 minutes.
  7. Flip, and bake for 6 more minutes. 
  8. Leave in the oven (with it turned off) for about 10 more minutes.
  9. Slice it, and serve with buttermilk ranch.
