For laziness sake, I'm going to say "see my original latte recipe for ingredients and how-to's", but I wanted to make this one, because I got a new handheld mini foamer, which makes all the difference when you're trying to "steam" milk for latte's on the stovetop. The foam and aeration keeps the steam from escaping as the milk heats, which in turn - steams it. And the action of the frother keeps the milk from curdling on the bottom.
You'll still want to make sure you only heat it over medium-heat, and you don't leave it unattended - you don't want ricotta!
But yeah, this milk frother from Zulay Kitchen, "Milk Boss" is like $20, and the aeropress is around $30, and you can literally do the job of a $9000 machine from a coffee shop.
The quality of your coffee counts too, but if you can find it, it's still only $10 to $20 bucks a pound.
You can save money on your Milk Boss if you buy a less desirable color. Ours has a snowflake on it, lol.
