Universal Bread Dough

You can use this dough to make sandwich bread, pizza, pita bread, calzones, cinnamon rolls, and more! Once you're finished, you'll be able to take your perfect dough and proceed to the other recipe. 😘

Note: This is the easiest, foolproof bread, but it sounds lengthy when I describe it, because I don't skip any steps. The moisture is balanced 100% of the time (because of the forgiving nature of the honey). It gets wetter as the yeast comes alive, but is still perfect.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 4 tsp Fleischman's Active Dry Yeast
Directions:
  1. In a measuring cup, add 1 cup of water.
  2.  Add yeast to the water and stir well.
  3. Then add flour to a large mixing bowl.
  4. Squeeze honey into the flour.
  5. Pour olive oil into the flour.
  6. Add salt to the flour.
  7. Have a hand-mixer with dough-hook attachments ready to go.
  8. Stir the yeast-water mixture again, then pour it into the flour.
  9. Using the hand-mixer, blend the dough until it is combined.
  10. It should be done kneading by the time it is combined with the hand-mixer.
  11. Give the dough a few squeezes with your hands as if you're shooting energy into the dough like a magician.
  12. Put the dough ball into a gallon-sized freezer bag (unzipped) and allow it to rise on the counter for 2-4 hours (until it has risen as much as it can).
  13. Then zip the bag and store it in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
You did it! Now you're ready to proceed to the other recipe. 😘
