If you like mashed potatoes and brown gravy, this is another way to have that. So yummy.
Ingredients:
- 3 pounds organic grass fed ground beef (93/7)
- 5 pounds yellow potatoes
- 24 ounces water.
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup low sodium Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar, or other vinegar.
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp cholula or Louisiana hot sauce
- 2 yellow onions
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 2 bunches fresh parsley (either kind)
Directions:
- Dice the onions.
- Brown the ground beef (and diced onions) in the instant pot (or other modern pressure cooker) on the sauté setting, stirring every couple of minutes, for 20 minutes.
- While that's cooking, peel and chop potatoes.
- Don't drain the beef. Add the potatoes, water, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, hot sauce, butter, tomato paste and black pepper.
- Close the lid, set the vent to sealed, and cook on high pressure for 40 minutes.
- While that's cooking, trim, rinse, and mince the fresh parsley.
- When the timer is done, release the pressure, and mix in the fresh minced parsley.
Serves 10, or 2 adults for 5 days.
